The annual meeting of the GNBEDF was held February 9 at McKenna Events Center as well as made available to registered members and guests virtually.

The 2021 slates of officers and directors were elected at the meeting.  The 29-member Board includes 17 new to the Board and the 10-member Executive Committee has three new members.  Patrick Rose of Corridor Title was elected Chairman.

Rose thanked outgoing GNBEDF Chairman Tim Zipp with a plaque signifying his two years as Chairman.  Rose also presented Founding Director and Corporate Secretary Mike Norris with a plaque.  Norris is the longest serving director and officer in the 15+ year history of the Foundation.

Rose went “off script” and he and Zipp surprised Foundation Executive Director Michael Meek with an envelope containing the first contributions of personal funds for Meek and his wife Debbie to travel following his retirement.

Newly elected directors then adopted a budget for the year as well as a professional services agreement with the Chamber.  Directors were asked to sign conflict of interest documents as required for the Foundations 501c3 status.
