At the February 11 Annual Meeting and Luncheon of the Greater New Braunfels Economic Development Foundation, Chairman Tim Zipp presided over the election of the 2020 slate of officers and directors, an annual budget adoption, and a professional services agreement with the Chamber.
In addition, attendees were treated to a panel discussion on “Why NB?” moderated by Foundation Executive Director and Chamber President Michael Meek. Panelists included Ryan French of Continental Automotive, Hemant Sehgal of TaskUs, and Thad Rutherford of SouthStar Communities. Comal ISD Superintendent Andrew Kim presented slides on their upcoming bond issue that will include a $120 million events center. Finally, attendees received a semi-annual activities report.
The next quarterly luncheon is set for Tuesday, April 21 featuring Foundation Vice Chair and NBU CEO Ian Taylor speaking about the electricity markets.
