New Braunfels Utilities is municipal-owned Electrical and Water/Wastewater provider for the greater New Braunfels area.

At the helm of the new CEO Ian Taylor, NBU is embarking on a $500 million capital campaign over the next five years to stay abreast of this growth and demand. Included in that capital campaign is a new wastewater treatment plant, a new Aquifer Storage Recovery Initiative that will come online in 2021 and future substations. As part of their key business strategy, they have a goal to reduce customer average daily usage by 25% over the next 20 years.
