"If you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
This famous quote has been taken to heart in New Braunfels over the last decade as many initiatives have been undertaken, with many positive results. The Claritas Post-secondary Education study in 2000 resulted in the creation of the Central Texas Technology Center in 2004, now educating over 2,000 citizens on an annual basis. A 1999 convention center study led to a $13 million remodeled and expanded civic-convention center in 2008, generating millions of dollars in new economic activity for the community. Communities in Schools was an outgrowth of the Chamber’s initiative in public school social needs in 1995. Over 2,000 students are served annual by this organization.
Today, the Greater New Braunfels Economic Development Foundation is a partner in many new initiatives that will result in new services for business and community. Doing the things most people think just happen!
